In 2005 has started this cooperative project between the CTC union Construcción de Cuba and the General Confederation of FGTB. Founded in 1939, the CTC is the only union of Cuba and its branch "construction" has now just over 205 000 affiliates.
The project objective: to enable construction workers as part of social micro-brigades to develop ways to ensure their safety in their workplace. These micro-brigades are cooperatives whose mission is to build homes in order to promote access to housing for everyone. A worker who invests part of it this way for the construction of homes of his friends and his and that, as part of a project.
The implementation of this project passes first through a training of stewards, first, to acquire the knowledge necessary to apply different standards to be respected in terms of health and safety, and other First, the existing legislation in terms of wage standards. These delegates in turn provide their workers acquired in the field, the aim being also aware of all the workers on the need to observe safety rules and basic hygiene at construction sites and in common areas to workers, and verify that these standards are effectively implemented and enforced.

The courses take place several times a year, both in Havana and the provinces of Cuba.
